Discrimination

Discrimination in the workplace occurs when an employee is treated unfairly or unfavorably based on characteristics such as race, gender, age, religion, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation, or other protected classes. This unfair treatment can manifest in various forms, including biased hiring practices, unequal pay, denial of promotions, unjust disciplinary actions, failure to accommodate, or disproportionate assignments in difficulty or quantity designed to force a resignation or subject you to termination. If you believe you have been a victim of workplace discrimination, it is vital to seek legal representation to protect your rights and seek justice. At Law and [M]ocean, APC, our skilled attorneys are committed to standing up for employees facing discrimination, providing expert legal guidance, and advocating vigorously on your behalf to ensure a fair and equitable workplace.

Harassment

Harassment in the workplace involves unwelcome behavior based on characteristics such as race, sex, gender, age, religion, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation that creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive work environment. This can include severe or pervasive verbal, physical, or visual conduct such as derogatory comments, inappropriate jokes, unwelcome advances, or other actions that interfere with an employee’s ability to perform their job, and create an environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive. If you have experienced harassment at work, it is crucial to seek legal representation to protect your rights and seek justice. At Law and [M]ocean, APC, our dedicated attorneys specialize in handling workplace harassment cases, offering compassionate support and expert legal guidance to help you address the situation effectively and hold the responsible parties accountable.

Retaliation

Retaliation in the workplace occurs when an employer takes adverse action against an employee for engaging in legally protected activities, such as filing a complaint about discrimination or harassment for yourself or on behalf of a co-worker, requesting an accommodation or job protected leave, reporting unsafe working conditions, or participating in an investigation or lawsuit. These adverse actions can include termination, demotion, reduction in pay, undesirable work assignments, or any other action that negatively impacts the employee’s job status or work environment. If you believe you have experienced retaliation, it’s crucial to seek legal representation to protect your rights and pursue justice. Our experienced attorneys at Law and [M]ocean, APC are dedicated to advocating for employees who have faced retaliation, ensuring that you receive the support and legal guidance needed to remedy the unfair treatment.
